This site is focused on sharing information, inspiration and news as it relates to creative imaging, it will also be a place where my associates and I can share many of the things we have have learned. In the 30 or so years I've been involved in creative imaging, photography and design I've enjoyed the experience of seeing many technologies and tools come into existence. This site will be an extension of many of the things I cover in my Imageering and Artsites Blog and as it evolves I hope to make available many of the products I review and create.

In addition to reviewing products, websites and other materials, My associates and I also hope to impart information and tips which will help you to improve and enhance your own understanding and working practices.

About Mario Georgiou, Creator of Creative Imaging News.

I was born in the East End of London and spent much of my early years living in North East London. In 1985 I moved to Toronto, Canada, where I lived and worked for about seventeen years. I am a designer and digital imaging consultant and have over 20 years experience in the field. I have focused my attention since my return to London in late 2002 on setting up a consultancy specialising in providing creative and I.T. services. Although trained in traditional methodologies, I now work primarily with digital tools and have a good deal of experience with a variety of hardware platforms, from early Computing systems like the Apple, Atari, and Amiga systems to current Pentium, Mac-tel workstations.

I am a digital imaging and design specialist with over 20 years experience in the design, imaging and software industry. My knowledge of design and imaging has come from many years of experience, schooling and working closely with developers of creative tools. I've worked in various capacities with, and on projects for Adobe, Atari, Broderbund, Canon, Epson, Fuji, Intel, Kodak, Lexmark, Live Picture, MGI Software, Microsoft, Roxio, Samsung, Sanyo, Sony, Visual Infinity and many other companies. Much of my career has been involved in working with, and managing teams of talented designers, graphic artists, photographers and videographers within the Canadian and US markets and more recently here at home in the UK. My knowledge of traditional and contemporary design methodologies and technologies has enabled me to service an extensive array of clients. I have also traveled the world demonstrating and educating other designers and artists.

I have produced identity programs and logos, fonts, software interfaces, multimedia, content and icons for applications, animations for product renderings, CD artwork for music and software releases, memorable web experiences and digital artwork, as well as a plethora of other creative projects. I am fully conversant with many of the creative imaging and design tools in use today and have had extensive experience in retouching and imageering graphics and images using both traditional and digital techniques and tools. As a photographer whos been shooting for over 30 years, I enjoy candid portraiture, event & music photography as well as landscapes.
