The Camera/Album features Sonys' eight megapixel 1/1.8" CCD sensor and supports up to ISO 800. The DSC N-1 is the best camera I have ever used. The large touch screen is very unique. Contrary to reviews that complained about the flash and focus, the user must study all of the settings. For example, by setting the camera to the "Program" mode and the focus to "Automatic", the exposure and results are awesome. Once a picture is being reviewed, the telephoto switch allows you to trim any picture to a closer shot, while allowing you to retain the original picture. This is done by going to the menu, pressing trimming (5m, 3m, 2m, etc). In short , I have no complaints about this camera. Every picture can be perfect, but learn the camera before posting a one day review. You will love the slideshows, too.

Thanks Alan,
I've always found sony's cameras to be very competent and easy to use ... ?for my own use I tend to lean more to DSLRs from Canon, having just picked up a 5D I'm very happy. It would be nice to see some of your images to get an idea how you are doing with it...

Per other reviews, there was a concern about video noise, during playback. Through testing several settings, I foud that if you go to the record mode, and set the Focus to infinity, or any of the lower settings (7.0m,3.0m, etc.), and increase the EV to +2 (indoors-avoid zooming), the noise will be eliminated. Another plus for low light photos is to activate the "AF Illuminator", then go to the camera mode and change the Focus to either "Multi AF" or "Center AF" and, go to "menu" (under Focus) and set the "Flash Level to "+". Enjoy the experience.

P.S. Mazzageo, I would send a few, but I would need an e-mail address.
